Super cute spot - it is a small spot so you are going to get some small things that you would not get a large scale operation. Rooms are nicely decorated, bathrooms are well stocked. The breakfast is homemade and cute, just enough to get you up and running in the morning. It has character, it is an old house converted into an Inn. Great for an inexpensive and cute place to stay that is well situated in town.
I can’t say enough great praises for the Gilded hotel. It is the most beautiful little hotel with a bed and breakfast feel. The staff was the best staff we have ever come across in all our world travels. The accommodations were so quant and comfortable. The staff went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed our stay. I can’t say enough about the fantastic breakfast each morning as well. We loved how the main dish changed daily but the yummy staples stayed the same. From healthy nutritious options to some yummy cheat day vacation treats and the amazing complimentary home made cookies!!! Yummmmmmmmmmm. We will be back for sure!!
We absolutely loved our stay at Gilded! We had to switch our hotel last minute and this was one of the few available. I knew nothing about the area and didn't know what to expect from a Bed and Breakfast over a hotel. Gilded did NOT disappoint. First of all, the room itself was very spacious, comfortable, and was nicely designed. The personal touches of the staff is second to none. They left us a sweet note, an anniversary gift, and baked goods upon our arrival. They checked in daily via texts to make sure our needs were met. Their breakfast, which is included, is all handmade and delicious. They leave out snacks and HOMEMADE CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES during the daytime, too. Regarding location: it is off the beaten path and away from the downtown hustle and bustle. We came to REALLY enjoy that because we'd walk to every activity and then get to walk back "home" away from it all. We would 100% stay here again!! Highly recommend!!
Amazing hotel. Absolutely beautiful with parking! Room was large and comfortable. Walking distance to the wharf (10”). Waking to restaurants and places to go. 10” car ride to the mansions. Centrally located. Had a great time and loved the stay.
Lovely boutique hotel. The third floor suite was spacious for three people, very clean, and charmingly appointed. The staff was very attentive and installed a window AC unit to help us get through the heat wave. The breakfast was lovely — lots of sweet and savory options and very filling. Patio and parlor were great places to have a snack. Took about 20minutes to walk downtown, which is nice because it’s out of the hubub and peaceful and bikes are safe if locked up overnight. Also only 5 minutes to the redwood library which is absolutely worth a visit!
A MUST STAY SPOT IN NEWPORT! HIGHLY RECOMMEND! I recently stayed the weekend at Gilded for my birthday. When I arrived to my room, there was wine and a homemade cake from a local bakery waiting for me. It was so special and cute! The bed was so comfortable. Super soft sheets. The hotel is clean. I loved the decor and interior design- there was so much charm this spot. The location was incredible!!! We were within 8-15min walking distance from everything (restaurants, cafes, shops, etc). It was so convenient. The breakfast was incredible every morning!!! So fresh and tasty. The staff was so attentive and friendly. Special shout out to AGM Katie - she really made our trip so extra special!! I can’t recommend Gilded enough!!!
We so enjoyed our stay at Gilded. First of all, the ladies at Gilded are tops in providing excellent service. From prior to check-in through the end of our stay, they ensured we had a great stay. Additionally, the breakfasts were delicious and the options plentious. Our room was large and comfortable. The location was within about 10 minutes of everything we wanted to do while also being quiet. My only wishes - provide self-serve coffee options for early risers and maybe some board games for when people might want to stay in for the evening (or when the tropical storm comes through).
My husband and I spent a weekend here and it was lovely. Such a unique building, the room was great(fireplace was an extra awesome touch). The people working there were great-Peter and Katey were super helpful. About a 10 min walk to downtown. Breakfast in the morning was tasty and the available parking was very nice. Would love to stay again the next time we are in Newport.
